NY State Mandated Closure of Fitness Facilities
Dear students, as part of NY State’s mandate all fitness facilities in NYC are closed until further notice. Governor Cuomo urges us to be socially distanced and spiritually connected in covid-19.
NY State has seen many cases increase as a result of testing covid-19. At this time, everyone is required to maintain a 6 foot distance in public.
As yogis, we try to see light in the darkness. Use this time to cherish moments with your loved ones, maybe even get someYoga classes for beginners guide to New York City(Opens in a new browser tab) rest, or some things done around your home that you’ve been wanting to do. The Universe is literally forcing us to slow down– to spend time with our closest loved ones as we purify ourselves and our spaces.
As life will have it, we’ve been through natural disasters, attacks, blackouts and other viruses before – we will get through this! Keep your vibration high and immune system strong by eating nourishing foods, getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, spending time in nature when possible, and keeping up your yoga practices at home!
As yogis we are blessed to have so many self-care tools to pull from: meditation, pranayama, chanting, asana- even a few simple restorative poses or just 15 minutes of practice can have a profound impact on your body and mind.
As the situation unfolds, we will be keeping everyone updated via newsletters and social media. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns during this time. We are here for you, even if the studio is closed. Also, please note that all memberships and packages will be extended by the length of time we are closed.
If you have any questions or requests regarding yours, please let us know. We are currently working on ways to offer remote classes as well!
Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us. Please take care of yourselves, your loved ones, and those in need during this time. We love you and are beyond grateful for this community of ours.
From our inner light to yours, Maryna Volivetska
